The new Sony EVI-D80 and Sony EVI-D90 cameras replace the ever popular Sony EVID70.  Sony continues to add choice and flexibility to its industry-leading P/T/Z camera lineup with the introduction of the Sony EVID80 and EVID90 cameras. These cameras combine a high-quality color video camera with the flexibility of remote pan-tilt-zoom operation.  These robotic cameras are compact and easy-to-use.

The Sony EVI-D80 incorporates the 18x optical zoom lens, and improves the minimum illumination to 0.4 lx; while the Sony EVI-D90 incorporates a 28x optical zoom with minimum illumination at 0.65 lx. These cameras allow a user to zoom in on a small or distant object with exceptional clarity. The new EVI-D90 also has an added feature of the Wide-D function.  The Wide-D function compensates for scenes with extremely poor contrast. Both cameras are ceiling and desktop mountable and offer an increased horizontal resolution to a full 550 TV lines.
