Aegis Electronic Group, the proud recipient of National University's 2007 Peak Performance Award,  is sponsoring the 2008 Peak Performance Award in conjunction with National University's School of Business and Management, The San Diego Daily Transcript and Cox Communications. Aegis CEO Carolynn Larson-Garcia has joined the panel of industry expert judges for this years Peak Performance Award. Last year, National University's School of Business and Management sponsored the event in conjunction with the National University Center for Organizational Excellence and the San Diego Daily Transcript. The competition generated more than 130 applications and attracted a sizable audience to the banquet room at the La Jolla Hilton Torrey Pines. “This represents a historic and significant milestone in collaboration in recognizing those organizations that perform at superior levels for sustained periods,” said National University Provost Tom Green, who served as Master of Ceremonies at the event. A group of 30 finalists was selected by a distinguished nomination committee comprised of community leaders, National University faculty and Daily Transcript staff. Companies and organizations of all sizes were eligible to apply. By studying the ability of peak performing organizations to sustain long-term performance and maximize their potential, it is possible to enhance the performance of individual institutions, as well as entire sectors of business and industry Peak Performing Organizations are evaluated in five areas: 1. Sustainability 2. Clear, demonstrable vision, mission, purpose, and/or values 3. Commitment to customers 4. Commitment to employees 5. Top-line profitability

.The 2008 Peak Performance Awards Luncheon will be held November 19, 2008 at the Hilton La Jolla.
