The SRM-10.4S is a Sunlight Readable LCD monitor specifically designed for use with wireless video systems.


The SRM-10.4S will not go to a blue screen, or into sleep mode, even if the video signal becomes weak or lost. They will operate in direct bright sunlight, or in other high ambient-light conditions. They utilize state-of-the-art LED backlights to produce over 1,000 nits of brightness (vs. 250-300 nits for standard monitors). This results in amazingly bright, crystal-clear images, even with direct, bright sunlight on the face of the screen. SRM-10.4S Sunlight Readable monitors eliminate the need for sun-shields, squinting or straining to see washed-out images. With wireless systems, the video signal strength may vary, and drop substantially, by the time it reaches the wireless receiver or ground station. Standard video monitors then go into sleep mode, or a blue screen. Unfortunately, this temporary “blindness” to the operator could come at a very critical time. The SRM-10.S will not go into sleep mode. The video screen may exhibit some static, but it will continue to generate a video signal.

The SRM-10.4S Sunlight Readable LCD monitors are built with industrial-grade components, and receive our exclusive TRU-Tuff treatment. The TRU-Tuff process includes: RTV silicone on all connections and critical components; all wires are dressed, tie-wrapped and secured; and ThreadLock on all screws. This, plus the rugged powder-coated steel enclosure, ensures maximum shock and vibration resistance. These monitors are ideal for a wide range of demanding applications including R/C helicopters and planes; aerial surveying, mapping and photography; FPV systems and ground stations; and commercial and military helicopters and airplanes.
