The Sony XCL-C280C is a 2.8 megapixel Camera Link PoCL color machine vision camera designed for high-performance industrial imaging, intelligent transportation systems, and scientific imaging applications. Featuring a 1/1.8" progressive scan CCD sensor with 1940 × 1460 resolution, the XCL-C280C delivers excellent image quality in both visible and near-infrared (NIR) environments.
The Sony XCL-C280C Camera Link camera is part of Sony’s high-performance XCL series PoCL machine vision cameras, designed to simplify the migration from analog imaging systems to high-resolution digital imaging.
Built around a 1/1.8-inch progressive scan CCD sensor, the XCL-C280C delivers 2.8 megapixel resolution (1940 × 1460) with excellent color reproduction and strong performance in near-infrared illumination environments.
With support for Power over Camera Link (PoCL), the XCL-C280C reduces cabling complexity by allowing power and data transmission through a single Camera Link cable. This makes integration easier in industrial automation, machine vision inspection systems, traffic monitoring, and scientific imaging setups.
The camera features advanced onboard image processing tools including shading correction to compensate for uneven lighting, defect correction to eliminate pixel imperfections, and memory channels capable of storing up to 16 custom camera configurations. These features allow engineers to quickly switch imaging setups without reprogramming the system.
Compact and lightweight at 29 × 29 × 30 mm, the Sony XCL-C280C integrates easily into tight spaces while maintaining industrial durability for continuous operation.
The Sony XCL-C280C is an ideal Camera Link solution for high-precision imaging systems requiring stable frame rates, flexible triggering, and reliable near-infrared performance.
