Omron’s STC-BCS163U3V is a 1.6 MP color USB 3.0 board-level area camera engineered for high-speed, high-accuracy industrial imaging. It uses the Sony IMX273 1/2.9" global shutter CMOS sensor to deliver 1,440 (H) × 1,080 (V) effective pixels at up to 238 fps, providing sharp, low-distortion images even when capturing fast-moving targets. With a compact 26.8 × 26.8 × 6.49 mm board footprint, USB bus power under 2.0 W, and USB3 Vision 1.0.1 protocol support, it integrates easily into space-constrained inspection, robotics, and embedded OEM systems.

Designed for machine vision, quality inspection, and automation applications across North America and global manufacturing regions, STCBCS163U3V offers flexible image controls such as full-frame and ROI scanning, 1 µs to 16.777 s exposure, 0 to 43.2 dB analog gain, digital gain up to 2×, and gamma adjustment from 0.1 to 4.0. Additional features including image flip, decimation, defective pixel correction for up to 640 pixels, auto exposure/auto gain, white balance control, and eight user setting banks help engineers fine-tune image quality for varying lighting and motion conditions in production lines, labs, and OEM devices.
