National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) Compliance from Aegis Electronic Group, Inc.

NDAA Summary

The 2019 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) was signed into law on August 13, 2018 and implemented on August 13, 2019. The law, specifically section 889, prohibits federal agencies, their contractors, and grant or loan recipients from procuring or using “covered telecommunications equipment or services” from specific Chinese companies--more specifically, equipment or services as a “substantial or essential component of any system, or as critical technology as part of any system.” The ban includes telecommunications equipment produced by Huawei Technologies Company or ZTE Corporation as well as video surveillance and telecommunications equipment produced by Hytera Communications Corporation, Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Company, or Dahua Technology Company.

Aegis Electronic Group, Inc is pleased to work with our suppliers and resellers to affirm that any products or systems targeted to US government entities, enterprise businesses and their contractors and affiliates, is NDAA-compliant. 

While only a small subset of the Aegis product line is affected by the NDAA. Those identified products that do currently use chipsets from HiSilicon--a subsidiary of Huawei--and therefore is non-compliant with the NDAA will be identified.
