Lumenera/Teledyne INFINITY8-3M – 2.8 MP USB 3.0 Monochrome Global Shutter CMOS Microscope Camera
The Lumenera/Teledyne INFINITY8-3M is a high-performance 2.8 MP monochrome microscopy camera built for precision imaging in fluorescence, brightfield, and darkfield applications. Designed around the Sony® IMX429 2/3" global shutter CMOS sensor, it delivers 62 fps at full resolution (1944 x 1472) and 124 fps at 968 x 736 with 2x sub-sampling, enabling ultra-smooth live image previews and accurate real-time focus.
Its passive heat-dissipating design ensures reduced noise without active cooling. A 0.63x – 0.7x C-mount coupler is recommended for optimal field coverage and resolution. With a 74% quantum efficiency, 24,900 e- full well capacity, and 7.2 e- read noise, it offers superb sensitivity and dynamic range (72 dB), making it ideal for low-light applications like live cell imaging, immunofluorescence, DNA analysis, and semiconductor inspection.
Included is the powerful INFINITY ANALYZE 7 software, compatible with Windows and Mac, offering measurement tools, image stacking, tiling, and intuitive camera control with no license fees. Multi-user, multi-system ready. Connectivity via USB 3.0 Micro-B (5 Gbps) and GPIO (JST HSHR-09V-S). Digitization at 8-bit or 12-bit ADC.
Rugged and compact (41.5 x 45 x 45 mm, 108 g), the INFINITY8-3M operates in environments ranging from 0°C to 50°C, with 5–95% humidity tolerance, and consumes only 2.3 W to 3.6 W power over USB or GPIO.
