The Lumenera/Teledyne INFINITY8-3C is a high-performance 2.9-megapixel digital microscope camera engineered for precise imaging across fluorescence, brightfield, darkfield, and other advanced microscopy techniques. It utilizes the Sony® IMX429 global shutter CMOS sensor with a 2/3” optical format and 4.5 µm pixel size, enabling exceptional image quality and color fidelity. Capable of delivering 62 frames per second at full resolution (1944 x 1472) and 124 fps at 968 x 736 with 2x subsampling, this camera supports high-speed live viewing, framing, and focusing without lag. An integrated 128 MB image buffer, manual/auto exposure and gain control, and global shutter architecture allow seamless capture of moving specimens with minimal artifacts.
Designed for maximum versatility and performance, the INFINITY8-3C supports USB 3.0 data transfer (5 Gbps) through a locking USB3 Micro-B connector and includes a GPIO interface for trigger and strobe synchronization. The heat-dissipating fanless body minimizes sensor noise without active cooling, supporting clean imaging in low-light conditions. It pairs effortlessly with 0.63x–0.7x C-mount couplers and is fully compatible with Windows and macOS through the bundled INFINITY ANALYZE 7 software, which supports live measurement, image stitching, video capture, and fluorescence imaging modes. This camera is ideal for applications including histology, live cell imaging, DNA analysis, and semiconductor inspection.
