BRZ-12CDH Sony’s innovative environmental dome enclosure has just been announced! Previewing its contemporary design, the housing was primarily designed for use with Sony’s BRC-X1000, BRC-H900 and BRC-H800 Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) cameras.

The BRZ-12CDH dome maintains dynamic cooling and heating via a Peltier device. The Peltier acts as a temperature controller to preserve optimum camera operating conditions (hot and cold), with a generous ambient temperature range of -13˚F to 113˚F (-25˚C to 45˚C). Equipped as well, with a Thermo-electric cooling device (TEC), the interior of the enclosure is assured able to weather sub-ambient temperatures. Its light gray, powder coated aluminum outside body is 17 3/8 x 21.0 x 27.5 inches (441.3 x 533.4 x 698.5 mm) in size, and weights 52 pounds (23.58 kg). The BRZ-12CDH’s PMMA (Polymethylmethacrylate) optical dome is clear, glass-like acrylic allowing unobstructed camera viewing. With optional wall/ceiling mounting kit, the enclosure also has available a wall/pole mount kit.
Sony is revered for their Pan/Tilt/Zoom series of color video cameras
The BRC-X1000 is Sony’s first 4K/HD remote camera. Uniting uncompromising picture quality and soundless PTZ operation, it has the added adaptability of 3G-SDI and HDMI connections. Its 1-inch type Exmor® R CMOS image sensor, records 4K footage at 30p, with four times the pixel count of Full High Definition, and excellent low-light sensitivity. The Sony BRC-H900 PTZ camera has a 1/2-type Exmor 3 CMOS sensor, and is recognized for silent and smooth pan-tilt-zoom mechanism (PTZ), absolutely valuable for use in noise-conscious environments. With an Image stabilization function that reduces vibration and multiple picture adjustment features, it allows the refinement needed to achieve professional demands. BRC-H800 FHD (Full High Definition) PTZ camera includes Sony’s prominent, back illuminated 1-inch Exmor® R CMOS image sensor with 12x Zeiss lens (24x in HD with Clear Image Zoom technology). The striking outcome is high quality, detailed HD video, with low noise levels.Nothing gets inside the BRZ-12CDH!
This 12.5” dome casing arrives with an inherent IP66 rated power supply (110/220 /12 v dc output). With this elevated Environmental rating, this enclosure ensures that water, dirt and dust doesn’t even think about getting inside! The IP Code defines the degree of protection as "IP" followed by two numbers; the first digit reflecting in degrees the level of protection against particles, and protection to others from enclosed hazards, and the second number indicates the extent of protection against water.
