The Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 is a versatile 6K camera for broadcast, production, and studio use, offering ProRes, H.265, Blackmagic RAW support, 13 stops of dynamic range, and dual native ISO. Features include electronic lens control, four ND filters, live streaming, and multiple media options including CFast 2.0 and SD UHS-II slots.The Blackmagic Design URSA Broadcast G2 is a versatile 3-in-1 digital film camera designed for both traditional and online broadcasting. Capable of functioning as a 4K production camera, 4K studio camera, or 6K digital film camera, this model provides flexibility for a range of professional applications. Its effective 2/3-inch sensor (23.10mm x 12.99mm) combined with a B4 2/3-inch lens mount delivers excellent image quality and dynamic range (13 stops). Additionally, it features a dual native ISO of 0dB and 18dB for optimal low-light performance, with a sensitivity of f11 at 2160p59.94.
This camera supports a range of recording formats including ProRes, H.265, H.264, and Blackmagic RAW. It features four different ND filter options (clear, 2-stop, 4-stop, and 6-stop) and a 12-pin Hirose broadcast lens connector for lens control. Focus control is easy with electronic and auto-focus features, and iris control is manual or auto, depending on lens compatibility. It also includes a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen LCD and various SDI, analog audio, and reference inputs for seamless integration with your production setup.
Supporting resolutions up to 6K (6144 x 3456) in Blackmagic RAW and ProRes formats, and up to 150fps in HD, the URSA Broadcast G2 is a powerful tool for both high-end film production and live broadcasting. With direct streaming capabilities via USB-C, you can stream live content using SRT and RTMP protocols to popular platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch.
