Pleora iPORT SB-U3 for most Sony FCB-EH and FCB-EV models of HD Block Cameras

Pleora’s iPORT™ SB-U3 improves the usability of Sony High Definition block cameras by allowing systems manufacturers and integrators to treat them as native USB3 Vision™cameras. These interface boards can move high-speed imaging and video data over the widely available USB 3.0 bus. Using SB-U3 these cameras can also be used with a broader selection of computing platforms, such as laptops, embedded PCs, and single board computers. The SB-U3 allows designers to use the Sony FCB-EV7500, FCB-EH6500, FCB-EH6300, FCB-EH3410 HD and FCB-EH3310 HD block cameras as USB3.0. Transmitting full-resolution, low and predictable latency over a standard USB 3.0 port, the UB-U3 eliminates the need for desktop PCs allowing designers to use smaller form factor computer platforms and saving system costs.

The SB-U3 interfaces with the Sony® VISCA™ protocol with graphics that are also available in the eBus SDK (software developers kit). Pleora’s external frame grabbers provide high bandwidth, power over the cable and plug-and-play interfacing for your Sony HD block cameras.  These interfaces allow for multiple cameras to be integrated with an off-the-shelf USB 3.0 hub over a single port. Complying with USB3 Vision and GenICam™standards the SB-U3 allows for interfacing in multivendor environments.
