At the core of the NM-1242M4X-W is a Sony 1/2.3" 12MP CMOS sensor, a 64-bit quad-core RISC-V SoC, embedded Linux, and an integrated NPU for AI object detection. The camera supports H.265, H.264, and MJPEG video compression with up to 3840 x 2880 resolution at 20 fps, giving integrators a strong balance of image detail, IP video flexibility, and compact embedded system design.

The 2.7-13.5mm motorized lens makes this model especially useful when a system needs wide coverage during some use cases and tighter framing in others.
