Group, Inc. introduced the new Sony Smart Camera at
the Apex Show in Los Angeles (Feb 20-22). Ilias Levis,
Sony’s Smart Camera Product Manager, Richard Hofmeister,
Sony’s Western Regional Manager and Liz Carnes,
President of Aegis Electronic Group, Inc. kicked off
the show with demonstrations of
The XCI-V3 is equipped with a 1/3-type
VGA (640 x 480) progressive scan CCD. The
incorporates a 1/2-type SXGA (1280 x 1024) progressive
scan CCD. Both cameras include a high-performance and
flexible AMD GeodeTM GX533 processor with either built-in
Linux ®OS or Windows®XPE OS. In addition, these
cameras incorporate 1 Gig of compact Flash and a 100BaseTX/10Base-T
interface for network connectivity. The Sony Smart cameras
feature open architecture which allows for the users
to install a variety of image-processing software applications
