Sony Electronics, Inc. VIP division
has released preliminary specifications for the new This camera features
10x optical + 4x digital zoom, for a 40x zoom ratio. The
FCB-H10 camera incorporates a 1/3 type HD CMOS sensor
providing high resolutions images and excellent picture
quality.
The FCB-H10 is Sony Electronics, Inc.
first high definition block camera. The FCB-H10 allows
for Standard Definition (SD) to High Definition (HD)
migration with the ability to capture images in either
720p or full high definition 1080i. The small and lightweight
size allows for space-restricted applications. (47.2
x 43.1 x 72.2 mm, 120g) The FCB-H10 features 16x9 aspect
ratio, making it ideal for wide screen displays.
The FCB-H10 has been moved up to an August
release with the demand for high definition products
moving to the front line. The demand seems to primarily
come from the broadcast markets, but military, medical
and other markets seem to be peaking in interest as
well.
